Personal Service

At Wexford Beach Homes we pride ourselves on our personal service. Our entire business is family run and managed by a staff committed to making your holiday a special and memorable experience.

Mary and Ann from the management team and all our staff are always here to help you with both discretion and sensitivity.  We want you to enjoy the absolute privacy and freedom that your holiday cottage brings but also provide you with that local knowledge that can make a holiday a special. We are here to help only and if you need us.

We know of secret idyllic picnic spots off the beaten track. A “Day Pack” with flasks and a cool box are available on request or we can arrange a luxury picnic basket packed with holiday treats and ready to go.

For more serious fishing our grounds man, Gerrard, is an expert on local sea and river fishing and will advise on the best spots. He is also there to help with tides and conditions. We do provide fishing rods and reels if you forget your own. Not the bait.!

From personal experience and from the memories of our own family who have lived in the area for over 250 years we have developed and mapped our own walks along the Wexford coast and throughout the Wexford and Wicklow countryside. See our Facilities Tab for our own mapped walks. You will find more in Our Guest Login section that is available only to our guests.

Your cottage also borders our neighboring farm. As tillage farmers we grow both Wheat and Barley. Much of the Barley goes into the production of Hops for Guinness. It is a joy to walk through the private lanes and watch the crops ripen beside the hedgerows, and pick blackberries in the autumn. There is a sweet smell from the barley and the colors in early morning and late evening are golden against the backdrop of the blue sea.

In your cottage you will find a simple guide to the birds seen along the beach and in the bordering dunes and Polders. You will also find descriptions of the birds that visit more rarely that we have developed ourselves.

Wild FlowersThe sand dunes on our beach are carpeted with wild flowers in the late Spring and early Summer. We have identified many of the flowers and have left a chart in your house so you will know when you have discovered them. There is also a copy of the Guide to the Wild Flowers of Ireland.
