Christmas and New Year

The Christmas lights as always will be twinkling on the willow lined avenue leading to your cottage, Santa visits each of our families on Christmas Eve to check that all the children addresses are correct.

The wreath is on the door, the Christmas tree sparkling, the fire lighting, a jug of mulled wine is ready to pour and freshly baked mince pies are waiting in their basket.  Your house is ready for an easy relaxed Christmas.

Each house has a table setting basket with candles, vases, flowers for easily setting a special Christmas table.

The distant sound of the waves beckons for long walks on Morriscastle Beach.

The frosty night air is cold and crisp, the stars clear in the night sky and your courtyard is beautifully calm and quiet in the cold night air.

Your Christmas goose or free range turkey can be pre-ordered from the local butcher and will be ready to be collected or delivered.

Shopping for food is fun and interesting in Enniscorthy Farmers Market or in Wexford town for fish and wine.

Share the Spirit of Christmas at the Carol Service in St Iberius Church in Wexford town on Christmas Eve afternoon.  Used as a place of worship since Norse times and right on the main street in Wexford, its lovely music creates a joyful beginning to the Christmas Festivities.

The sound of the hunt on St. Stephens Day in Craanford – bugles blowing, dogs braying, horse hooves clicking is exciting and blows away the Christmas languor.  Better still go horse riding,  Sandra McGuire’s stables just closes for Christmas Day and will have horses ready again from St.Stephens Day.

Walk through Raven Wood at dusk and watch listen to the beat of the wings of the Brentwood Geese as they fly home to the North Slob to nest.
