Following is a list of answers to some of your most frequently asked questions. This is a guide to help you with summary answers to key questions. For more detailed information please see the relevant section of the website.

Is the price per person or per house?

The price is on a per house basis. Each house has 4 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 8 adults very comfortably. There is plenty of space as all our properties are over 1200 square feet.

How far is the beach?

Morriscastle beach is a 10 minute walk depending on your pace.

Is there direct access to the beach?

No. The beach is a 10 minute walk down the Morriscastle Road.

How far is the local village and what facilities does it have?

The local village is Kilmuckridge. It is 1.5 miles -2 minutes in a car or a 20 minute walk. It has two well stocked local supermarkets that do a fine range of local produce. It also has a selection of restaurants and total of 5 pubs all of which serve a fine pint of Guiness.

Can I book more than one house. Can I book our cottages beside each other?

Yes we do cater for large groups in respect of family reunions. Please call us if you need to book more than one house and would like our cottages located beside each other.

Do I need to bring my own bed linen or towels?

No, all houses are supplied with fresh towels, bed linen and duvets. Please note cot linen is not supplied.

What facilities are available in the house?

All our houses provide fully equipped kitchens including microwaves and dishwashers. They also have washing machine and dryers. All living rooms have TVs, DVD Player and CD players. A full cottage specification can be viewed below:

Is there an additional charge for electricity and gas?

Yes, electricity and gas are charged according to meter readings taken on your arrival and again on your departure and are based on 15 cent per unit.

How early do I need to book?

As a note to our valued customers and due to levels of demand experienced last year we recommend that you book as early as possible especially if you are planning your holiday for the busy months of June, July, August and September. Ireland has numerous bank holidays during the summer season and these tend to be booked up at an early stage aswell.

Do I require a credit card to book online?

Yes if you wish to make a booking on line a credit card is required. We accept Mastercard, Visa and American Express. In the event of you not possessing a credit card we will hold your booking for 5 working days until we receive the appropriate deposit by post.We can not guarantee reservations outside of this without a credit card due to the levels of demand. Your deposit is payable to Wexford Beach Homes by cheque, postal order or bankers draft.

Is your booking system secure?

Yes we use the latest 128 bit encryption technology to secure credit card transactions and your privacy. Our technology is constantly updated to prevent credit card fraud. Please see our privacy policy for more detailed information.

When do I pay in full for my holiday?

The balance of monies payable for your stay is expected 4 weeks prior to your arrival. This will be automatically deducted from the same credit used to make the booking deposit 4 weeks prior to arrival. In the small number of cases where cheque or money order has been used for payment, the cheque should arrive 4 weeks prior to date of arrival. Please note We can not guarantee the booking until the cheque cleared. For busy times of the year this cam often negate the use of cheques or money orders. Where possible to secure your reservation please use a credit card. We accept Mastercard, Visa and American Express.

For bookings made within 4 weeks prior to the date of arrival payment is required in full.

What happens if I need to cancel or change my reservation?

Any changes to your reservation must be made as early as possible by phone, fax or e-mail. In the event of a cancellation deposits are non-refundable but may be used for a booking at another stage. In the event of a no-show we are obliged to hold all monies paid to us. In the event where the balance has not been paid we will charge the full amount of your stay to your credit card.

Where a cancellation occurs within 4 weeks prior to arrival but after the full balance has been paid Wexford Beach Homes will refund:

  • Up to 3 weeks before date of arrival 50% of balance paid excluding the booking deposit is refundable
  • Up to 2 weeks before date of arrival date 20% of balance paid excluding the booking deposit is refundable
  • Up to 1 week before the date of arrival 10% of the balance paid excluding the booking deposit is refundable

What facilities are available in the locality?

There are a huge range of facilities and activities in the area. The main attraction is undoubtedly the fabulous Morriscastle beach and other surrounding beaches in the area. The range of activities includes golf, horse riding, fishing, boat trips, cultural festivals, horseracing, and swimming. Wexford Beach Homes has its own 18 hole Pitch and Putt golf course and Astroturf tennis courts for the exclusive use of residents.

How do I get the keys for my house?

Simply call us when you are getting close to us. Our guests are important to us and for that reason we are available 24 hours a day.!

We meet and greet all our guests personally on arrival so don’t worry about having to find your keys in remote locations in the middle of the night. In addition let us know if your plane or ferry has been delayed and we will leave the heat on for you or alternatively if specifically requested make sure your fridge is well stocked so you can greet the morning with a healthy Irish breakfast.

What time can I check-in?

On receiving your balance of payment we will send you email you information confirming your holiday, arrival date, balance outstanding, directions ect.

Check-in time is normally from 4 pm onwards. If you require an early check-in this must be arranged with Wexford Beach Homes.

What time do I have to check-out?

Checkout time is strictly 10am during the summer months of July & August. At other times we try to be as flexible as possible. Late checkouts must be pre-arranged with us.

Do I have to pay a security deposit?

Yes, due to the standard of our cottages and the quality of the furnishings a security deposit of €200 is required on check in. This deposit is returned to you in full on your departure providing that our cottages are left in a clean and tidy condition. (In some cases your security deposit will be returned to you by post within 14 days of departure).

A security deposit is required to cover any breakages or damage that may occur during your stay.

Can I book for 2-3 days or a weekend break?

Yes we do cater for weekend breaks. Our minimum requirement is 2 nights stay. This can be weekend or midweek (depending on availability) except for the months of July & August where our policy is to let on a weekly basis only.

Do you offer a discount for couples and couples with children?

Yes at certain time of the year we do offer a discount for couples traveling to holiday with us. Two person discounts are available from October through to April excluding bank holidays and holiday weeks.

Can I take a pet along?

Yes, we do accept pets. We do insist however that as a consequence of the standard of our cottages and quality of the furnishings they are very well house trained. In addition we do also keep a number of our properties pet free for guests who may have allergies. Please specify on booking.

A member of my party has an allergy. Can I book an allergy free house?

Yes we keep some of our properties pet free. Please specify at the time of booking if you would like an allergy free house.

Are our cottages wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately due to the split level nature of our cottages, they are not wheelchair friendly. Please call us for any clarification.

Are the gardens enclosed and suitable for small children and pets?

Yes the gardens enclosed. They are also sizeable and spacious and safe for pets and small children.

Can I book a cot, a highchair, and a stairgate?

Yes. Simply specify on the online booking form when making your reservation. If you have any special requirements please add them in the notes section.

Is there parking for our car at the property?

Yes. There is ample parking for cars at each property.

What is the driving time from Dublin and Rosslare?

The driving time from Dublin is 90 mins approx depending on your speed. It is a very pleasant drive down through the rolling hills and mountains of Wicklow and the road is a good one.

The driving time from Rosslare is 45 mins approx.

Do you book ferries?

No. Your travel arrangements to and from your property are your own. Prices quoted are for accommodation only.
